Ever since I was a little kid, I have always loved inventing stories about curious animals, magical adventures, and the beauty of everyday life around us. My stories try to impart gentle lessons about friendship, kindness, and inclusion.
I draw inspiration from my childhood spent exploring the woods and fields behind my grandmother's house. It’s where I first discovered my love for imagining my own stories.
I try to understand what captures children's imaginations, and I both write and illustrate my children’s books, like the popular "The Frog Who Was Scared of the Water." I’m excited to share that I am launching soon a new collection of tales under the name pennyperkins, aiming to spark wonder and joy in children from around the world and from every walk of life.
When I’m not writing, I enjoy connecting with nature and tending the gardens and animals on my small New England farm.
And thinking up more stories, of course.
